About Yuki

Hi, I’m Yuki from Japan, and I’m now based in Europe.

I started learning English as an adult, so I know how difficult it can be to improve in a second language. It took me years to become confident speaking English, and now I use English in my everyday life.

Because of this experience, I understand the challenges adult language learners face. I explain Japanese in a clear, simple and practical way, with a focus on useful Japanese for real travel situations.

I also work as a Japan travel advisor and offer private guided tours. Having travelled to 45 of Japan’s 47 prefectures, I enjoy sharing local recommendations and places beyond the typical tourist spots.

Learning a language is not only about words and grammar. It also helps you understand the culture, see things from a different perspective and feel more confident.

My background includes a Master’s degree from Royal Holloway, University of London, a 120-hour TESOL qualification and a TOEIC score of 900.

My goal is to help you feel prepared and confident when you visit Japan.
